About Us
Established in 2003 in Schaumburg, Illinois, Hadi School of Excellence is a private Islamic school serving approximately 180 students from Montessori (3-6 years) through middle school (8th Grade). With a student-centered approach, Hadi School of Excellence aims to nurture the full potential of each child across academic, spiritual and ethical domains.
Mission
The mission of Hadi School of Excellence is to:
- Provide the best environment for students to achieve academic, cultural, and religious guidance
- Guide the students within the teaching of the Holy Quran, the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and the Ahlulbayt (A.S).
- Prepare the students to be successful for the world of work, self-achievement and well-being
- Prepare the students to be good citizens, lifelong learners, ambitious and honorable
Vision
The vision of Hadi School of Excellence is to cultivate God-conscious leaders and motivate students to actively engage in their learning, by applying the skills, knowledge, and habits to emerge as proactive Muslims contributing to society.
Academics and Student Life
Hadi School of Excellence offers an authentic mixed-age Montessori environment for our primary students (3- 6 years) with Montessori certified teachers. In the Montessori classroom, students are in tune with their fitra and are nurtured to develop their concentration and will in the prepared environment. Students explore the natural world through practical life, sensorial, language, math and culture.
Further, Hadi School has a rigorous college preparatory elementary and middle school curricula. Hadi School using Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method where students work on a project over an extended period of time to solve a real-world problem. Students participate in diverse academic, spiritual and enrichment activities tailored to nurture their talents and interests.
Accreditation
Hadi School of Excellence is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education in compliance with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to better serve our students. Hadi School is also accredited by both CISNA and COGNIA. Hadi Also achieved The Lighthouse status using the “Leader In Me” program.
Leadership
Dr. Azra has an academic background in education leadership, accounting, and social work. She earned her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in 2013 and has recently completed her Doctor of Arts in Educational Leadership from National Louis University 2021. She is the Principal / Founding Member of Hadi School of Excellence USA and a member of the Teacher Preparation Advisory Board at the National College of Education, National Louis University. She also served as a member of the Islamic Society of North America(ISNA) Education Forum planning committee and Cognia Accreditation Engagement Review Teams 2021. She is a current board member of the Council of Islamic School of North America (CISNA). Dr. Azra has a passion for serving the community in any capacity.
