About Us
Established in 1984 in Potomac, Maryland, Alim Academy, also known as Muslim Community School, is a private Islamic school serving approximately 100 students from preschool through high school. With over 35 years of educational excellence, Alim Academy provides values-based academics tailored to each student’s needs and interests.
Mission and Vision
The mission of Alim Academy is to enable students to pursue academic, moral and leadership excellence within an ethical Islamic environment. The vision is to develop engaged citizens able to serve humanity.

Alim Academy offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum while integrating Islamic studies and ethics. Students can participate in diverse clubs, activities and athletics to develop their interests and talents. The safe, vibrant campus fosters a diverse learning community.
